I graduated in 1994 with degrees in History and Fine Art Photography. In 1995, I moved to St. Louis, Missouri, and I have been here ever since. I work as a Project Engineer for CPI Corporation, mainly working in web development. I still call Elmira home, and I still come back to visit the folks (Peter & Susan).

Lisa Kerbein Dever 06-Aug-2001 High School: Class of: Southside 1977 Now living in: Goldsboro, NC [ E-mail ]  Born & raised on the Southside right near Broadway School. I married in '79, divorced in '96. Daughter Shannon (Price) Knorr graduated SHS 1996, son Michael Price graduated TAE 2001 (yeah!), and youngest Matthew now in 8th grade here in NC. Remarried a NC native in June 1999 up in Elmira. So I now have 2 step-kids...Michael is 17, Rebecca is 15. Good kids. No grandkids yet. Working for Public Housing here, spent 8 years working at the "Hill" (89-97). I truly miss Elmira and the surrounding area and most of my family is still there. We were home in June for my son's graduation, then spent a few days camping at Six Flags over Darien Lake. Stopped up at Niagara Falls for some natural beauty before we headed home. It was a great trip. Always try to enjoy all my old favorites while I'm home, like Hi-Bar wings, Southside Sub Shop subs, Pete's Central Hots (sorry we missed you this trip Tom), Pudgies Pizza. Food in the south is nothing like home - trust me. Miss shopping at Tops & P&C too. Hello to all my former classmates & co-workers in Elmira.

Mary (Jessup) Winch 06-Aug-2001 High School: Class of: Southside 1981 Now living in: Bangor, PA [ E-mail ]  One of the last class to attend the "old" school! We just had our 20th reunion...my how time flies! I'm happily married to Jim Winch (Notre Dame, '65) who still has family in Elmira. Most of my family has moved to Rochester, but we still manage to get together - Elmira is the perfect middle ground between here and Rochester! I have some fond memories of Elmira, but it been disheartening to see so much of downtown slowly disappear. Let's hope this arena makes a difference.

My most recent visit was for the 20 year reunion in 2000. I am the father of a 14 year old girl, 7 year old boy and we are expecting twins in October 01. I work for Science Applications International Corporation as a computer specialist (mostly main frame). In my spare time, I am a soccer and baseball coach.

My parents and a brother are still in the Heights. As others have said on this informational site, Elmira is not what it used to be. Harold(Sam) Halpin 06-Aug-2001 High School: Class of: Southside 1950 Now living in: Rochester, NY [ E-mail ]  [ Homepage ] Left school in 1949 to join the US Army and eventually serve in the Korean War. Moved to Rochester in 1952 to work for General Motors. Retired from GM in 1991. I have 4 children,a son in Boston,one living and working in Rochester. A daughter in a suburb of Rochester and a daughter in her last year at University of Maryland Law School.I have relatives in Elmira and spend time there several times a year.

Jim Wild 05-Aug-2001 High School: Class of: Southside 1966 Now living in: Danville, CA [ E-mail ]  I worked in Elmira after graduation and joined the Army to avoid the draft in April 1967. Traveled to Georgia, Japan and Colorado compliments of Uncle Sam. After my discharge in Colorado I came to California and went to San Jose State then to the University of San Francisco. I'm now a fibre optics engineer for McDATA Corporation. I married Dawn Elmquist, Southside class of 1968, in 1969 and we had a son who now travels around the world opening dive resorts. Our divorce was somewhat amicable and I remarried after ten years of single life. My wife, Sue, is a California native and we have two children. Our 18 year old son will attend Arizona State University this fall. Our 16 year old daughter attends San Ramon Valley High School in Danville. We visit Elmira every couple of years to visit my parents and siblings.

Rosemary Savino Clist 05-Aug-2001 High School: Class of: Elmira Free Academy 1969 Now living in: Honesdale, PA [ E-mail ]  I also attended Notre Dame 9th and 10th. After high school spent a year in NYc. Then 3 yrs in Rochester. Became and RN at CCC 1978. Married to a great guy Howard. We have 2 daughters Stephanie and Emily. Would love to hear from any classmates from efa or nd class of 69 or any other school time friends. Life is good. Moved to Poconos area in Feb of this year. Presently working as a night supervisor at a health care facility.

John Leisenring 05-Aug-2001 High School: Class of: Southside 1966 Now living in: Frederick, MD [ E-mail ]  I went to Southside for only 1 semester but would have graduated in 1966. Went to Mountain View Drive School in Pine City through the 4th grade, then Booth School through the 7th grade, then Broadway through the 9th grade. Moved to Vestal, New York in February, 1964 and graduated from Vestal Central in 1966. Enlisted in the Navy after high school and served in Coos Bay, Oregon, Arlington, Virginia and Vietnam. After the service I earned my bachelor's degree at Indiana University and my masters at Notre Dame. I am currently the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Frederick, MD. My parents, Dick and Mary and sister, Faith live in Walkersville, MD about 5 miles from Frederick and my other sister, Charlotte lives in Annapolis. My dad also grew up in Elmira. I've been back a few times and just went up to Watkins Glen a couple weeks ago, but didn't get to Elmira. Always make a point to stop at M&M's for a Texas Hot when I get there. I always loved Elmira and hated that I had to move to Vestal before I graduated from Southside. Look forward to getting back soon.

Dan Copp 05-Aug-2001 High School: Class of: Southside 1978 Now living in: Palisades Park, NJ [ E-mail ]  I lived on the Southside from 1968 to 1977 when I joined the Army. Spent 5 years mostly in South Korea where I married my wife. We returned to Elmira in 1982 and lived there for three years until we moved to Palisades Park. I continued in the Army Reserves and was called to Duty for the Gulf War in 1990. I came back with disabilities that required me to change my career. The Dept. of Veterans Affairs sent me to school and I received my BA from NYU in 1998. I am currently working as a CPA for a Big 5 Accounting firm in the Technology area. I am also expecting to obtain my MBA in finance and International Business soon.
