I have been in for Florida for 19 years (Melbourne area for 13). I'm married to Dan for 9 years. He is originally from Fargo, ND. Now that's somewhere I never thought I would visit but have done so frequently. I recently became a grandmother. Her name is Mckenzie Ryan Pendleton. I return to Elmira 2 - 3 times a year to visit family and friends.

Diana Schewe Cullinan Walsh 31-Jul-2001 High School: Class of: Southside 1952 Now living in: Clifton Park, ny [ E-mail ]  Left Elmira (Horseheads) in late 60's and have lived in many states since, but still miss Elmira. Used to get back frequently when parents still lived on Broadway. Both have passed on so do not get there anymore. Since moving back to area (Clifton Park near Albany) hope to get there again in the next year. Hope to have a hot dog from M&M. Does anyone know when Chemung Co Fair is this year? I am the mother of three- 2 daughters and a son and also welcomed a grandson into the family four years ago. I currently am an insurance counselor with GEICO

Robert Nichols 28-Jul-2001 High School: Class of: Southside 1966 Now living in: Poquoson, VA [ E-mail ]  [ Homepage ] I lived on Pennsylvania Ave. across from SHS from ~1947-1961, moved outside Odessa for about a year, then back to Elmira on Lake St, where I attended my freshman year at EFA in 1963. I left school after my freshman year, moved over on Maple Ave., near Bradley's, and worked for the Finger Lakes Tree Co. until joining the Navy in 1964. I guess I liked something about it... I stayed in the Navy for 21 years, during which I had the good fortune of seeing much of the world lying beyond our shores. My wife and I now live in Poquoson, Virginia, a small town some 20 miles northeast of Norfolk. My work involves maintaining tactics trainers and flight simulators for the Navy's E-2C Hawkeye aircraft. As a hobby, I provide a website for the Poquoson community ( www.poquoson.com ). I miss Elmira. Although I've been gone since 1964, except for four very brief visits with family, I maintain a supporting membership with the Chemung County Historical Society. I also started a group on Yahoo for folks who have an interest in the Elmira area and who enjoy reading about and sharing in the memories we all have of the place many of us still think of as 'Home'. I would certainly enjoy having each of the elmira-ny.com visitors join our group for at least a short time, to see if it might be of interest to them. We even have members who still live in the area and who try to help us ex-Elmiran's in learning how the town has changed over the years, even providing some photos from time to time.
